He and Anastasia felt called back to Phoenix, where he soon began working for Neighborhood Ministries and discovered his love for church-based Christian Community Development.
In 2007 Chris and Anastasia moved to the City Heights neighborhood of San Diego to help plant what is now called Bridge Church. In 2008, he completed his Master’s degree in Theological Studies from Bakke Graduate University.
Chris is currently the Head Cross Country and Track and Field Coach at Hoover High, where he has been coaching since 2007. Chris joined the UrbanLife staff in early 2011, where he is currently the Director of City Heights Runners, a youth development through running initiative. He is also the Lead Pastor of Orange Avenue Community Church, a small missional community planted out of UrbanLife’s community development mission. He and Anastasia have two children, Madeline Grace Brewster, born in 2006, and Tobias Scott Brewster, born in 2008.
