Diana Bahena was born in Morelos, Mexico and immigrated to San Diego in December 2001. Since then, she has lived all over San Diego. However, she calls City Heights her community because even when she lived in a different place, God would lead her back to City Heights. She was introduced to Urban Life Ministries by high school friends who invited her to come to program on Monday nights. She learned about God and His unconditional love for her, and since 2009 she has committed her life to Him.

Diana graduated from University City High School in 2010 and from San Diego State University in May 2015, with a double-major in Psychology and Spanish and a minor in Counseling and Social Change. By this time, UCAN had been launched and so this was the perfect opportunity to combine her passions; her love of serving God, working with high school students, and for education.

Diana is currently learning about community development and being challenged on what it really means to listen to the community.
