Kevin, the youngest of two children, was born and raised in Colorado Springs, CO. He spent eighteen years there, enjoying all that Colorado had to offer - camping, hiking, playing sports, and hitting his sister with snowballs. After graduating high school, God provided him with enough scholarships and loans to attend Whitworth University in Spokane, WA. It was during his time working in an on-campus ministry position that he was introduced to UrbanLife by a friend.
Kevin started his UrbanLife journey in the summer of 2009, as an intern. There, he learned the true definition of the phrase, “You’ll find out.” From leading games on club night to getting lost taking students home from Sunday worship to experiencing God with students at Woodleaf summer camp and on the hiking trails of Zion National Park, that summer was full of unexpected and life-changing moments. He returned to Whitworth that fall and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology.
The UrbanLife journey continued for Kevin in June 2010, when he returned to San Diego for a second summer internship. Eventually, that job morphed into a more permanent full-time position, and he called San Diego home. In the summer of 2013, Kevin married the most amazing person ever, Anay. He also left UrbanLife staff that summer to pursue other interests, including torture by way of law school, and a multi-year stint in the world of retail management at Barnes & Noble.
Kevin joined UrbanLife staff for the second time in May 2018, and is grateful to be a part of what God is doing in City Heights.
